Lancaster, PA USA
The Top 10 Reasons to Attend Historicon
Convention Theme:
“The World on Fire” – The Seven Years and French & Indian Wars, 1754-63
HISTORICON 2008 is fast approaching, so here are a
few updates of exciting things planned for our “Flagship” convention, as
of June 22nd.
The theme for HISTORICON 2008 recognizes
“The World on Fire” – The Seven Years and French & Indian Wars, 1754-63
– a unique period of eighteenth century warfare. For complete information on the
theme, along with some theme games that will be at the convention, click on the
Convention Theme link to the left, and the Events (PEL) link for games. While the convention
will feature a number of games related to the theme, there will also be hundreds of
non-theme games to represent nearly all periods of military history, as well as seminars
and tournaments, for your gaming enjoyment!
As it does every year, HISTORICON presents “the world’s largest
hobby shop”, plus the world’s biggest hobby flea market, for four days every
July. Both offer a gigantic selection of military miniatures, rules, books and anything
else needed for the historical miniature gaming hobby.
Many attendees return each year. In fact, they plan well ahead with their families so that
HISTORICON is one of their vacations! For those family members who may not
be interested in miniature gaming, then Lancaster, Pennsylvania has lots to do and see,
including outlet stores and all sorts of specialty shops for everyone. Great shopping,
great restaurants and great entertainment options make HISTORICON the perfect vacation
spot where historical miniature gamers can return every July, year, after year, after year!
